Finally after a long hiatas I returned to Salmon Falls and Mickey Mouse (Old Ride Report with pictures here). We had stopped going because several sources said the trail was closed but apparently it was temporary or just vandalism. Anyhow… the return trip was glorious. Mickey Mouse trail was in premium condition and was every bit as challenging as I remembered it.
I brought my helmet cam and captured some decent footage which I am processing right now. In the mean time you can check out some pictures from my ride on MTBR. While on the ride we had a random encounter with a couple of riders who were fascinated by the car at the top of the trail. More Pictures on MTBR, below and this video (3MB) show the results. Hey Josh and Jerry, Thanks for the trailside entertainment. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve had an ancient write-up on Coyote Point which I’ve been meaning to update for over a year now. Over this winter we’ve been riding at Lake Hogan quite a bit so that gave me the incentive I needed to finally get around to updating it. Here’s
The New Coyote Point/ Area 51 Trail Review. A mix of older pictures from the trail, hopefully meaningful route instructions and some information about some of the newer trails which have been built in the last couple years. Enjoy!

So I’m sitting on the fence right now, I think this event: Mountain Bike Oregon would be pretty cool. $250 for 5 days of fun riding is a bargain. Here’s the rundown of the event from their site:
- 500 miles of the world’s best singletrack trails
- Hundreds of cyclists
- Three squares meals each day
- New Belgium beer INCLUDED
- Free Rivery City Bicycles mechanical support
- Free demo bikes
- Optional two days of additional hardcore riding
What to do, what to do…

North/Rockville2003-05/2006-01-08Rockville”>

Made another trip to Rockville this weekend. We had a big group with 13 riders. We spent a whoping 5 hours to cover a measely 12 miles. Most of that time was spent working as a group trying to build peoples skills, riding and reriding sections of the trail. In a lot of ways it was almost like a skills clinic. Anyhow
Rockville Pictures are Here.
